Artwork submission
We accept all major artwork formats such as PDF, JPEG, AI, EPS, PSD.
In order to avoid unnecessary problems, please forward us the artwork in recognised formats.
When providing us with images, please bear in mind the required size. Images found on the web are generally not suitable for large format print as they “pixelate” when stretched and are generally of poor quality. The general rule here is the larger the image size the better the image quality in large format.

If the artwork contains an unusual font, please forward in vector format so that we can stretch the image. Otherwise, please also provide us with the required font. Resolution
Resolution is measured in DPI which stands for Dots Per Inch. This is a measure for the amount of “pixels” contained in each square inch of an image. The higher the DPI value the better the image quality.
We can print up to over 1,000 dpi resolution however the minimum resolution acceptable for large format is 300 dpi. A smaller resolution image will result in a blurry and illegible print of poor quality. We can of course stretch any image to enlarge it if necessary however again this will affect the image quality.

Colour requirements
The colour structure used in monitors or TVs differs to the one used in print. The primary colours used in print are CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow and black). The colours on digital screens are formed of red, green and blue.
Whilst we are doing the best we can to provide an accurate match, an image on screen may vary to its representation in print.
If however an exact match is required, please provide us with its Pantone colour reference so that we can be more exact in matching the colour. Please beware that the colour intensity may also vary depending on the media used for print.

Artwork charges
If artwork is not submitted to us print ready, as with any design consultancy, artwork charges apply.

Our flat rate is £30 per hour; the fee represents a one off straightforward design inclusive of two changes. Further changes are charged £10 + VAT each. The fee for a more complex artwork remains the same however a client is briefed prior to commencing work on how long the preparation will take.

We usually advise clients to provide us with images they wish to use in order to avoid charging for the time required to source the images. Ngwena Ltd has an extensive image library however in the instance when we are not in a possession of a suitable image, additional fee applies. This is due to the fact that those are sourced from a third party supplier.
